As all of us have observed, during the past couple of days, our stock markets had been playing hide n seek game and was shy of capturing 5400. But with the global market having been “All Green” yesterday (even today), our market took the courage of bidding “good bye” to 5400 and made a head-way. Now it paves the way to make for 5550 (on a conservative note it should be 5530) which can be achieved, in all probability. But, what could be the possible signals / reasons which would help market to achieve the above levels. Broadly, they could be :
A. Some of the quarterly results are on the anvil which, going by the progressive industrial production figures could provide relief to the market
B. Monetary policy by RBI will be there in the next week.
C. Expiry is on the threshold (29th instant) which is eyeing for 5550 if not more
In the above scenario, one can go in for the following :
A. Short term investors can make a partial exit (if not complete) and should sit on liquid cash.
B. There been no trigger left after the coming expiry, market can wink (correct) and there would hardly been any healing touch which could provide relief to the market (in this case a kind of upmove).
C. Although, medium term as well long term investors can remain invested depending upon their comfort levels, short term investor should exit to make use of the correction to buy at the lower levels.
All this comes as a suggestion only. One can exercise one’s own options to conclusive decide upon one’s approach.
